Ms. Heintz

This is my fourth year teaching science in NY and first year at Marlboro High School for the 2020-21 school year.

I was born and raised in a small town on Long Island and graduated from Locust Valley High School in 2010 before attending SUNY Binghamton where I received my BS in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2014. Following this I went for my Masters in Adolescent Biology at Binghamton and then began my teaching career in 2017 at Waverly Middle School. Here I taught Regents Living Environment, Physical Science, and Life Science for 7th and 8th grade students.

My fiance and I relocated to the Goshen area from Binghamton, NY this summer (with COVID, what a time to move!) along with our dog, Blue. In my freetime I am an avid reader, cook, and baker. Since 2014 we have started the journey to become 46ers (hike the 46 Adirondack High Peaks) and are about halfway there and hope to complete them soon. Along the way I take as many pictures of the high altitude wilderness to share with students or pick up some samples to share. While I do not call myself a runner, I find myself running the Boilermaker 15K every year in Utica as well as half marathons and am working towards running the NYC marathon. Outside of NY, I love to travel and have been to various corners of the US, Ireland, South Africa, England, France, and hope to be able to travel again soon!
